Interiors: Eclectic Home in an Astounding Location
Ready to see parts of a great, eclectic home in a most astounding location? Yeah, you think you’re ready. But nothing can prepare you for this. This house, seen in the New York Times, is located on the 35th floor of Seattle’s Smith Tower. The 35th floor happens to be at the very top of the tower, where the pyramid structure sits. The interior is crazy interesting. It is peppered with gothic arches, it has wonderful exposed beams and a massive amount of overhead room. The very eclectic decor scheme is casual and lively and a perfect fit to contrast (or complement) all the geometry going on. Just imagine what the view must be like!

Creative DIY Idea for Foyer Wall
Piet Hein Eek had this very creative design idea for one of their client’s foyer wall. They simply covered it with a bunch of old doors, cut and arranged to fit together like puzzle pieces that fill the entire wall. Some of them look worn, others look newer, some are plain, some have patterns. This quirky, rustic melange looks so great against the modern staircase. The idea seems simple but it is so creative, and probably something a DIY enthusiast could handle. The images feature two versions of the project - one with mainly white doors and another full of color. They have such a different impact but both are equally cool.

Outside the box – extravagant interior ideas by Novogratz
Sometimes extravagant interior ideas require more than ‘thinking’ outside the box - in this case ‘entry’ from outside the box was necessary. This item was actually brought into the ‘box’, the home, with a crane during construction before the windows went up. It is the unrestrained Adid Aziz Desk in the home and master bedroom of none other than the Novogratz family. The husband and wife design duo are known for their modern eclectic taste, so given the context, it is not surprising to see this desk in their home. Also a nice reminder of how striking statement pieces play such an important role in self expression in interior spaces.

This particular glass and brick house in Belgium has something… extra. This amazing brick exterior home designed by Bruno Erpicum features contemporary glass wall addition at the back of the house, offering an unusual element to the otherwise traditional structure.
