Remodelista Relaunches Next Week
The countdown begins: On Monday, January 23, we'll be launching a redesigned, re-engineered Remodelista. Here's a sneak peek.
N.B.: On Sunday, January 22, we'll be down intermittently between 5 and 11pm, while we prepare for the launch. Please excuse the construction downtime.

You might remember our questionnaire of a couple of months ago, asking for reader feedback. We took careful note of your comments, suggestions, and observations and have been working behind-the-scenes to get the next major version of the site ready. Here are some of the features to look forward to:
- City Guides: If you're planning a trip, you can now see all our shops, restaurants, and hotels, grouped by city.
- Bigger images: See more details in high-resolution images.
- Add your comment: We've changed our comments server so you can now add feedback directly under each post.
- Responsive design: The site layout will adapt to whatever device you're using, whether it's an iPad, iPhone, or laptop.
We know that any change, even for the better, is difficult at first; we look forward to hearing from you as you get to know the new site.

After graduating from Columbia's School of Architecture, Porter worked at the New Jersey Barn Company, disassembling antique timber-frame barns and designing reassembled structures. Outdoors: Landscape Books Recommended by H. Keith Wagner Partnership
Vermont-based landscape designer Keith Wagner's own residence and gardens, a modern interpretation of a vernacular farmhouse in North Ferrisburgh, Vermont, garnered euphoric reactions from Remodelista readers when we first posted it a while back. Wagner designed the property with Birdseye Design, a design/build outfit, creating a living space surrounded by utility buildings in an open agricultural setting (the project won an AIA Honor award in 2004).

As part of a new Remodelista series, we asked the firm to recommend their five favorite landscape design books (featuring a mix of residential and commercial) to our readers. N.B. To see more of Wagner's work, such as his own house (pictured above), go to H. Keith Wagner Partnership on the Remodelista Architect/Designer Directory.
