Marcel Wanders Collection for Baccarat

Created by famous dutch designer Marcel Wanders, the “United Crystal Woods” collection for Baccarat is filled with poetry and beauty. There are four product groups:

La forêt des songes (Forest of Dreams): a series of candlesticks and vases combining deeply cut crystal with the lightness of filigree.

Les esprits des bois (Spirits of the Woods): a family of deers metamorphosed into exceptional candelabra.

Les rois de la forêt (Kings of the Forest): a series of four majestic vases.

L’ivresse des bois (Woods of Euphoria): a collection of wine glasses and carafes, engraved with the designer’s favorite seal.
For this special occasion, Baccarat recorded a video with Marcel Wanders talking about the birth of the collection, his inspiration and work.

Plus Wash Station

The design of this wash station considers the preservation of water in its design. Plus was designed by Bora Cakilkaya/P-ARCH and recently won 2nd place in the Green Dot Awards. P-ARCH aimed to create a product containing both sink and closet respecting the environment and eco-system. The station stores up the water used in the sink in the reservoir located under the sink, and after a semi-treatment process, is utilized it as drain water in the closet (toilet).
At the first glance, PLUS gives us messages of a different bathroom culture besides its function. The first thing coming to mind when mentioning about bathroom is the couple of sink and closed that we form on the wall surfaces. Due to this vicious cycle, we always see similar designs containing alterations only in their materials. We are in the opinion of that it is needed to lean upon different fictions, by leaving aside these concepts.

Culver Centrale: Modern con Classico

The first luxury mixed-use property in Culver City is complete. Culver Centrale is located in the heart of Culver City, and has just its doors for future residents. The property is designed to embody sophisticated living with European sensibilities, and could be best described as “Modern con Classico.” The inspired design is a product of Joseph Miller, an accomplished 27-year-old Los Angeles-based entrepreneur and President of The Runyon Group, a real estate investment, development and management firm. Culver Centrale includes 18 residences and 5,500 square feet of street-level retail space, which would be an instant sale for me if they included a coffee shop, gym, and an Apple Store!
